Fairy lights.
We have them all around the garden and our house, inside and out. They just make the place seem so happy, bright and cheery. And our 6 month old Daughter loves to watch them twinkle.
I don’t have a very big place, but I always put a wreath on the door so it’s festive right from when I enter my flat. I also like to put fairy lights on the balcony so when I’m enjoying daylight savings and the warm summer breeze, I can remember it’s Christmas and what a great time of year it is.
I go with the season. Halloween just past but I had pumpkins, witches and ghosts decorations in and out of my house. Thanksgiving is approaching and I have a cotton damask table cloth and a bowl of gourds displayed when you walk into my home. Christmas is approaching and the snowmen will come out.
Since I am a religious Hindu, little small tiny pots with fire around the exterior of my home feels festive.
A christmas tree of course. I have a very simple one I made from an old tree branch that is really tall. I sprayed it gold. Every year I choose a different theme and put different coloured decorations on it. I refer to it as the Christmas twig.
inexpensively, you can get a saucepan and put a bit of water in it, break stick cinnamon, sprinkle nutmeg, allspice, whole cloves (break them), cut up some oranges and add some vanilla. Bring this to a boil and then put it in the living room on a hot pad. If you can, put it on the floor near the a/c heat register intake and it will perfume you home with a nice homey holiday scent.
Also a mirrored tray with clear votive candle holders and a few silver ones mixed in. Very festive.
I love my Angel Chimes. It is a brass thing with a windmill at the top and angels on the sides of the windmill. Four candles underneath make heat and the blades turn and make the angels ding the bells as they turn.
definitely tinsel everywhere! every room, when you walk in you see glittery, colourful tinsel and you just want to jump with joy! it makes you really excited about christmas and really gets your heart pounding with the anticipation!
Deck the halls with kerosene,
Fa la la la la la la la la
strike a match and watch it gleam,
Fa la la la la la la la la
watch the school burn down to ashes,
Fa la la la la la la la la
Arent you glad you played with matches
Fa la la la la la la la la

this is my first christmas with my man, and when we started talkin bout christmas i had a look at his tree and said "nah its not big enough" so i bought my christmas tree over and its twice the size and now have think where we can stick it where its gonna fit!!!
I put lights up outside my house, and inside gets the fresh cut Noble Fir tree and of course stockings embroidered with our names. Then I let the kids choose from various nick knacks we have which ones they’d like to display.
The Christmas tree.
I`d like to enlarge some pictures of birds and flowers that I have taken and hang them on the walls.

It makes my home feel like Mor Mor’s home (my grandmother).
But I like Kathwah’s idea. lol
The fresh christmas tree that is lovingly decorated and provides the scents of the season. Wishing everyone a warm and wonderful Christmas and a happy, safe and prosperous new year.
The star that sits on top of the tree. Without that star the tree would not be complete.
Christmas: Decorated Christmas tree
Birthdays: Coloured streamers, ‘Happy Birthday’ banners
Halloween: Not usually much, maybe a ‘Trick or Treat Here’ sign
Easter: On Easter morning all out Easter eggs and stuff go around the fire place
At Christmastime, I always have to have a tree. I don’t often celebrate Halloween, so I don’t decorate my house for that, and for Easter I don’t really decorate. So basically I use lots of tinsel, and glitter and baubles when it comes to a festive feel.
I like putting Christmas lights up in December.
First our Fibre Optic Christmas tree in the front window.
Then the pine cones I decorated with paint and glitter and put in a basket,Oh and lets not forget my Fibre Optic Angel in memory of 2 grandchildren we lost 8 years ago.
Yes we also do the outside lights as well
A Christmas Tree big or small.
i love buying festive candles, especailly the candles shaped in reindeers, santa’s and snowmen.
Lighting them up at night makes it feel very special
Christmas baubles and other decorations for the christmas tree. They have to be in LOTS of different colours though
