But the studio version kicks so much ass.
I think Dave Gilmour genuinely hates half the stuff Pink Floyd has done.

Waters Glimour and Wright do/did not like what they did, except The dark side of the moon and Wish you were here. Waters like also The wall of course. It’ s incredible how they dislike their own work..But if you check what they played at live8 you get it..

i thought gilmour himself addmited that this was a crappy song and i quote:

if anybody can get the version of atom heart mother from the 1970-1971 bbc sessions, i would recommend it. i think its on youtube too. its the most amazing version. so crisp and clean. and no strings during part B
