Well like David he knew Alvin and the others Mother… just alittle she wanted him to take em though. But anyways… Their “Foster” Mother would tell them small stories about their normal mother but not many and I haven’t seen this movie in while I just know they had to give their children away because hunters were going to try and kill them. They actually had to get rid of that movie and stuff I have the movie lol… But’s actually very very sad

The chipmunks parents were killed long time ago it was actually by a hunter. So David and some woman took them in and cared for them since they were babies because they left them chipmunks at certain places and thats why.. they never knew their parents and won’t so she’s singing to the mother that loves her now

there is another version of this song from filipino singer named KENO and the tittle of that song is ” A Friend ” pls try to check it out very nice song it was popular from the late’s 80′s i guess
