@skiie because, they didnt. they just cut the line. the hook remains to rust off which takes a few weeks. Same thing when fishing for sharks and fish where you cannot safely remove the hook.

@iamElijah but by not removing the hook it will rust while still embeded in turtles mouth cousing serious infection and eventually death, the poor thing will die slowly and horably
