@Joanitahth if you remember, ted was engaged to stella, but she left him at the alter and moved to LA with tony, who decided to make a movie about what happened between stella and ted. this is the movie he made, it is obviously not a real movie just in the serie, and ted will find out about it in the upcoming episode.
