@ThermalMedia I picked that one on my SECOND playthrough. I couldn’t bring myself to do it on my first one.

Truly one of the best moments i can ever get in a game.

@flyboymitsu It is “build that wall” or Zia’s theme

I know…This is one of the games with a quality storyline, where the player feels like they’re going through what the character experienced, not once leaving the story. It’s a good thing this game didn’t have anything that coud lead you away from the main storyline (I hate that), otherwise the game wouldn’t be as deep. Not giving the character a name, made me feel like I was the character, making the decision to carry Zulf.

Whoever didn’t save Zulf, shame on you.

Is this the song at the end when your carrying Zulf? Because i thought it was slower or something im not sure but a touching moment at the end and if you didnt save him… well then you can go jump of the edge of that bastion :P

You know i wasn’t expecting the game to be like this. I know that may sound bad, but at the beggining, it just was different. Now this game is at the top of my list.

@flyboymitsu Yeah maybe. It is kind of what she sing. But, if you search for “Bastion Song” it is always the one on the top. I love that song more than I love my cat

Norwayflex89 wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

Probably the best moment in the game.

@TheUSASpy Aye me boy!:) I wonder who is singing that other one “I dig my hole you build a wall”. Because that one is shockingly epic

Norwayflex89 wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

@Norwayflex89 What’s the title of the song?
or was that it?

flyboymitsu wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

@harvmiester1 ya that was pretty touching @.@

GensSilentarium wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

@TheUSASpy did you have see what’s you have when you start the game?

teph1256 wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

On my iTunes playlist, this song goes on, then Setting Sail, Coming Home. Amazing transition.

@Norwayflex89 plus its an INDIE GAME. independent. as in no help from nobody so give it credit for that too.

@oromisszane Slaughter is more appropriate.

Carrying Zulf through that final section is genuinely one of the more powerful experiences I’ve had in a video game. Incredible. It is owed in part to this song.

HowPlausable wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

if you deny carrying zulf out of there, do you just fight your way out?

oromisszane wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

i can think of only one other developer that made a grand slam out of their first game, and that game was Half Life and the developer was Valve
if Super giant Games becomes the next Valve, I will be very happy.

@apple1231230 It is. The story, the way it’s presented and the atmosphere is just as amazing as the music.

@Farbo123 I agree. The reason I think so is probably there just because it give me great childhood memories.

Norwayflex89 wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

@Norwayflex89 Production qualities of the games you listed where top par because all of those are triple A titles. But they have much less personal touch to them, they sound great, they are made very well by incredibly skilled individuals, but they wernt made to portray something as raw and emotional as many of the Bastion tracks.(With exceptional exceptions of course, all the series you listed are fucking enormous mega franchises)

Farbo123 wrote on September 3, 2011 - 9:39 pm | Visit Link

some of the best game music I have ever heard in my life. And yeah, it is close to Zelda, Metalgear solid, Final Fantasy xD And I know many will think its better. Wich I can understand 100%
