I would try to convince my parents by talking about a time when you were responsible and you had to solve the problem by yourself. Then I would start saying well my friend wants me and (your parents) to go on a trip with them and I really do want it to. I promise to you that I will do whatever you want me to when you want me to if you just let me go on this trip..
