How to add a family member on the sims 2?

Under Family Category: Family Parenting

I have done my own family upon a sims 2 as well as would right away similar to to supplement a grandparent but re-creating a family. Any ideas?

You’ll need to download some seriously complicated hacks to do that.
You might be able to do it with Sim Blender or Insiminator. Google those.

I don’t think you can do that, once you’ve made a family and saved it you can’t go back and edit it. You can get people to move in with you and have babies but you can’t add somebody in just like that as far as I know other than what the other person said above.. useing some kind of cheat. I’ve never seen one though.

To actually make the grandparent sims part of your family’s "family tree" you would have to download a mod. As other posters have suggested, the Sim Blender is a good way to go. If you do not want any mods in your game, then I think you are out of luck. You can move families in together, but you cannot make them part of an existing family’s tree without some sort of mod.
