first song Queen sang when I saw warming up for Mott…they blew Mott off the stage (and I love Mott the Hoople)…just knew they were going to be great…when Freddy came out and sang “a word in your ear”…god….”from father to son”….

queen obviously had a metal edge in 70′s.May clearly influenced tony iommi from black sabbath.also the melodies with 2 or 3 guitars written by may influenced riffs from iron maiden

Exactly.

I heard one saying that stone cold crazy was the first thrash metal song.

Anyway, queen made many heavy songs.
I recommend Flick of the Wrist of shows from 74-76.
