Very very moving, his singing isn’t bad either. He also did a very nice thing with Dylan “Vomit Express”. I esp. like the simplicity of this poem, if I would die today, I want this played at my funeral :)

Allen Ginsberg is my hero. I want nothing more of life but to age as gracefully and to have lived so gently and yet so potently and fully IN LIFE. What an amazing man <3.

I don’t know why, but this video really makes me want to grow old. He just seems so at peace with everything.

God what a poem! So simple and speaks to the hearts of everyone.
First time I’ve seen Allen sing this was on a black and white clip where he was playing some kind of accordion.Anyone ever seen this on the net?

Last time I met allen he sang this blues; it was in florence in the 80s at the last poetry reading in italy. I was there for an interview. He didn’t sing it on the stage but later at the hotel, unforgettable! We spent all the night in his room with him, fernanda pivano, a guitar player who accompanied him and another italian poet. That emotion will be eternal, i’m sure.
