I want to set up a hobby area but i have very little room to do so, we live in a trailer?

Under Family Category: Hobby and Leisure

our trailer is the 3 bedroom, my boys share the room as well as my small lady has the bedroom, my father as well as me have the master of course. with 3 kids it’s really tough to have room for the hobby area. i do flowering plant arragements, as well as weave the little. i need the good place to lay with the list to work upon these things sometimes. how can i have the space for me?

It sounds as if you do have a problem alright. Do you have an extra space above your top closet shelf where you might be able to put a second shelf for supply storage and for your finished items? If so, put one in and use the kitchen and/or dining room table when you can. It is more work but at least then you can do some of the things you want to do. Another suggestion would be to install a drop down table on the wall in your bedroom. That is providing of course that you don’t want to be working on your stuff after hubby’s bedtime.

Take a corner in the family room or living room, or you can do what my mom did and use part of your daughters bed room .

you know the ol man doesnt go to the bedroom unless he wants some or its bedtime. so use the bedroom for your own space. use a stool in the corner with a tv dinner tray/desk thingy.

Buy a 3 drawer organizer at Lowes and use your table as a work area. You would be surprised what you can store in these things.

Put up a screened in porch. Easy to do and cheap. You can use UV screen or lattice work for walls.
Buy little plastic drawers and put a table outside.

You can enjoy the yard, birds, kids, pets, fresh air.
If it’s safe to leave out then you don’t have to haul it back in. But if it is not safe to leave out, just bring in your plastic drawers.

I had a foster daughter that needed privacy (age 13)
she shared a room with my daughter(9)
I got her a tent and put it in the bedroom. Our social worker almost laughed her butt off but said it was very creative lol( you do what ya have to right ? lol)
can you put a tent in her room? or yours?
then it can be a little messy and nobody will bother you.

you can knit on the couch and clean up after. You can do flowers on the kitchen table and clean up after. Cleaning up after makes for a nice house. Having a hobby area in any house without picking up after makes for a messy area.
