Hobby King HK 500 CMT Torque Tube RC Helicopter & Whats In The Box
Under Family Category: Hobby and Leisure
Video of This is a New Hobby King Torque Tube 500 distance RC Helicopter, HK500CMT TT. It is radically a counterpart of a Basic Kit of Align T-Rex 500 ESP RC Helicopter. First impressions have been excellent for a price, it comes in during around 1/4 of a simple pack cost, we can discuss it a disproportion in peculiarity in between a Align as well as this helicopter, though for a cost a a heli we can use stunts with prior to perplexing it out upon your Align Original. The tools we am regulating for this pack can be found in RC Groups here www.rcgroups.com If we confirm to buy this helicopter greatfully sort in my associate formula &aff=75319 during a finish of a URL, this helps me get points. Link to a helicopter is listed next (with my associate code) Thanks In Advance www.hobbyking.com Elias

@Gourvelos
My one works great since i used a Roxxy 9100-6. I´ve made some Mods but it wasn´t required. It´s a bit of luck, but u can have it
I just recieved this heli, and wish I had looked at some of these reiviews first. It’s going to have to have alot of upgrades before I fly it. The description on the website said it was a belt driven tail, I didnt realize it was a TT. Right off the bat, if you get a TT, you want it solid, and this isnt. So if you buy the TT version, buy the upgraded tail parts. For the price, I guess its a good ENTRY level 500… but it wont be your last 500 if you plan on staying in the hobby.
HOW DO YOU LIKE THE 500 HOW DOES IT FLY YOU GOT A VIDEO
thnx
@Gourvelos
What did you changed?
@macdaddy1600 initially no it didnt fly well, there is alot of modification required in the tail section in order to have it fly well, but now its a fun heli, I am enjoying it.
hi does it includeds a motor that i can fly or somthing
sorry for my bad inglish
@MrStrudelPopje No, only what you see in this video, so you need batteries, and electronics, transmitter and receiver, motor, servos, gyro.
I have a T-Rex 500 electric and an HK500 electric..I love them both. I guess I am not good enough to tell the difference. The next time I buy a Heli, I am going with the HK. I like the $600.00 in extra parts I can get with the savings.
@Gourvelos Good call.
@michaeld747 OMG yes I found it, thats insane… When I fly my helicopters that a cheapies like this I will never fly them close to people and I agree with you that people need to understand the dangers with these cheap helis, I flew a HK450 (first release) near me once when the feathering shaft bolts snapped and the blades sailed past me. Ever since then I fly the helicopters at a distance, but my Align I will fly a little closer. I use Align parts for the high stress areas anyway.
@Gourvelos Yes, I should have given the exact review to begin with.
The review taliking about the glued ball joint was for the HK 600 GT by user name “torro” and I quote “- one ball was glued with loctite to the mixing arm, there was no thread! ”
That is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! It would be better for HK to step down if there going to put out crap like that.
You guys need to understand, if you hurt someone with one of these high powered helis, you WILL be sued…It could even be deadly.
@michaeld747 Yeah if I saw a ball join being glued in I would have it on video I can assure you, I would let everyone know about it as well in the forums, do you have reference to this article so we can have a look? and was it HK or another supplier similar to them? I have seen some really horrible stuff from Honk Kong suppliers and I have had blades sail past me like bullets because of feathering shaft bolts of a cheap supplier.
@Gourvelos I understand what you mean by the price difference. I guess with that ball joint being glued I was also thinking of safety. If HK just throws these parts together, someone could get seriously injured. Also, when you pulled out that canopy and it was touched up, I though that was really cheap as well. Buyer beware…
@michaeld747 I have the Align ESP 500 as well, I can see the difference in quality between the two, I can also see the price difference between the two.
By the time you put a gyro and servo etc on an Align it will cost you around $1000 and this kit will cost you around $500, so I guess for someone who is learning to fly and is bound to crash then this is a good choice.
From what I’ve been reading about the review’s of HK’s clones, HK is going to REALLY need to step up the quality of their kits before I’d consider one.
On one review of the HK 500, it was actually stated that one of the ball links were GLUED onto the control surface…no threads were even present…what kind of company would let something like that go out the door???
It may just be better to pay more up front and go with a TRex.. Align would NEVER try to pull some of the crap that HK does.
@HeliEye yeah so true, for the price I will be doing my stunts in this first then I will try with the Align 500 ESP I have, the only challenge is to get the same amount of power from it, I will be fitting my Align ESC and Align Motor into it for now as I have the Scorpion 1400kv and Castle Creations 75A ESC that should arrive in the next few days and they are going into my Align 500. My aim is to get the same headspeed with both and that way it wont feel so different flying either one
Very clear filming, covered everything well.
For the price, not bad.
A few tweaks it should be fine.

@asgarde45 I am still putting it together, had to totally pull it apart because there is no grease anywhere in any bearings. there a quite a few small issues that were easily overcome like lengths of sleeves for bearings etc and short bolts for the ball links, but I have plenty of spares laying around, so far I have most of it together, but I doubt I will be finished this weekend as I have other commitments. I will be recording my first flight next week end.
Does it fly weel?
You had better check every item on this helicopter. After having to order numerous Aling parts to get this thing together I thought I had it right. Today on the 4th test flight something came apart and it crashed. I started looking at the helicopter and didnt see anything strange at first. I reviewed my castle ice log and things were normal and the rpms didnt exceed 2450. I then notice there was no screw in the auto rotation link which was disconnected. I got out a magnifing glass and the threads in the swash were clean. I then put a screw of the same size in and it went in perfectly. There was also no screw in the rod itself. There is no way this broke and then unscrewed its self. The only thing I can imagine is that it was glued on. I should have checked every single nut, bolt, and screw prior to flying.
